Finished building up my raised bed and got all my planting done. To set the bed up without spending a ton on wasted soil, I layered in logs at the bottom with mulch in the center from found materials and community resources. 

6” of custom soil mix on top:
- CoCo Coir
- Vermiculite
- Recycled Mushroom Blocks
- Chicken poop fertilizer (donated)
- Activated Charcoal
- Perlite

Material Cost:
$110 - soil amendments
$80 - plants

Planted: peas, heirloom beefsteak tomatoes, a dwarf cherry tomato bush, sauce tomatoes, jalapeños, purple bell pepper, sweet onion (transplanted from compost), strawberries (gifted), pink lemonade blueberries, thyme, lavender, white bearded irises (gifted).

The raised bed was a modular kit my partner's parents gifted us, so it had a large amount of configurable options.

In future seasons (and perhaps on purchased land) I'd like to get another few pieces to get real creative with shape.

This is very cool, and I like the different frame. Not what I'm used to seeing.
