I hate that Adobe still gets away with UI like this. Replacing a font in Illustrator is so tedious

Unfortunately for products as mature and with as much market share as Adobe's their product strategies look like sales & partnership deals first, to maintain user base, and adding new features only to keep up with industry tech. Without a major redesign to the products themselves, we're probably not going to see any significant UI changes.
