Anyone here ever taken Spirit Airlines? I certainly did my fair bit of Ryanair as a college student abroad. The problem with the latter is that it flies in and out of the most obscure airports outside major cities, making you pay in time and money for extra travel.

Spirit is perfectly fine. Requires an upfront awareness that one is sacrificing conveniences they expect from other airlines and that's okay. Watch the upsell pricing ladders or you end up paying the same as a regular airline.

Worst story I have is that their seats & cabins are uncomfortable and unbearable after 3-4 hours in flight.
