I will be visiting Amsterdam with my wife this weekend, anybody got recommendations for restaurants (especially local food), places to visit and stuff to do?

- local dutch food is lacking so no recs lol (avoid turist traps)
- museums: rijksmuseum (old), van gogh, stedelijk (modern), moco (contemporary, incl. NFTs)
- the center is all very walkable, just explore the canals!
- use the (free) ferry to go to NDSM and check out the street art
- 🍃Sloterplaas or Amsterdamse Bos

frites are decent indeed! most typical is to go to a bar and order “bitterballen” or croquettes 

also, there’s a pancake boat where you get all you can eat pancakes with different flavours and takes you around the river
