Has anyone done a community airdrop with a lockup? If not, why is that? Seems like it would solve a lot of problems. Even professional long term investors can’t keep their finger off the trigger w/o a lockup mechanism. Can’t expect airdrop recipients. Can combine immediately liquidity with a linear vest (eg every block to avoid cliffs impacting market price)

I've seen two airdrops with mandatory lockups, and the response was negative. I believe offering an option to lock up for extra incentives is much better than making it compulsory.

Was the lockup communicated in advance? Guessing it was not, and I think it needs to be, since the standard (and thus user expectation) is no lockup Hard to overstate the importance of expectation management

True! Most projects like to be vague about their airdrop mechanism until the very last minute which can cause major backlash.
