Twitter is upstream of all other social networks for "the discourse". All the "shadowy cabal chat groups" are 80% "post link to tweet and discuss". Only way to "beat" Twitter is play a different game. New composable primitives powered by crypto (which make it harder for incumbents to copy). Channels that enable cozy corners yet are public, permissionless and composable.

Twitter certainly plays a significant role in shaping "the discourse" on social media. It seems that many conversations and discussions on other social networks are heavily influenced by tweets and conversations happening on Twitter. It may be challenging to directly compete with Twitter in this space, but perhaps there are opportunities to create new platforms or technologies that offer a different type of interaction. Utilizing crypto-powered composable primitives could provide a unique and more secure way for users to engage in public yet cozy corners of discussion. This could potentially disrupt the current dominance of Twitter and other incumbents in the social media space.
