I agree about the tribalism point but I don’t understand why you kinda gloss over the crony capitalism part. Pretty reasonable to be very upset about that imo

The coins announced are 5 of the top 6 by market cap in the world. The one excluded is BNB which has Chinese origins. The list is reasonable imo. We’ll see on crony capitalism. As I said I think the way it was announced was dumb and if the reserve is overweight the “American” coins that would be bad, but I think in the end the policy will be reasonable too.

If the way it was announced was genuinely just dumb and not market manipulation, then I agree. But when there’s smoke there tends to be fire
