I agree about the tribalism point but I don’t understand why you kinda gloss over the crony capitalism part. Pretty reasonable to be very upset about that imo

If the way it was announced was genuinely just dumb and not market manipulation, then I agree. But when there’s smoke there tends to be fire

The coins announced are 5 of the top 6 by market cap in the world. The one excluded is BNB which has Chinese origins. The list is reasonable imo.

We’ll see on crony capitalism. As I said I think the way it was announced was dumb and if the reserve is overweight the “American” coins that would be bad, but I think in the end the policy will be reasonable too.
