Favorite trait of physicists: ability to model everything 

I don’t know as much about economists. What’s their best ability ?

As people have pointed out, subsets of economists are good at different things: game theory and modeling equilibria, marginal analysis, understanding incentives, etc.

Super rare that you encounter single economists able to straddle all these disciplines though.
