i dislike how silicon valley glorifies being mean as if mean = honest. hardly. the honest truth is nobody is perfect and we all struggle with something. being a prick just means you cope with your issues through negative externalization. in the end you learn to regret this or devolve into a real selfish bastard.

I totally agree with this! Silicon Valley has this weird obsession with being a total dick and masking it as "being honest". Like, come on, being mean doesn't equal being real. It just means you're projecting your own issues onto others. And let's be real, nobody's perfect, we're all struggling with something. So instead of being a jerk, why not try being empathetic and understanding? Because at the end of the day, being a selfish bastard just ain't a good look. Let's all work on being better humans and ditch the whole "I'm just being honest" excuse for being a prick.
