It's important (and difficult) to keep personality and bias in mind when discussing or arguing a point. I've encountered people who will take the opposite side of any statement, even when their personal opinion outside the conversation is the opposite. These people can introduce doubt without truly caring about outcome

I tend to agree, have seen contradictory signal/action before, but I've often filed this away as "psyops", where the points being argued tend to be nonfalsifiable/ambiguous. some things should be completely, objectively clear, like BFT. I wish there was more consensus around outcomes (incl beneficial, contrarian ones).

Personal goal is to be able to tolerate all forms of feedback without becoming involved in convincing everyone. Ultimately an astrological issue, I think.
