actually wild to me that quebec is allowed to prohibit all public services from being rendered in english even though both english and french are the official languages of the COUNTRY we live in 🫠 🥲 i've lived here 12 years and idt i'll ever get used to it

Was recently informed that the language on my corp tax profile has been changed to French and cannot be changed back because of a law mandating French only service to local businesses. They will eventually drive me out of my home with monolingual policies like this.

this is history repeating itself from the 80s no? that last sweep of language laws and secession attempt drove a ton of small and large businesses out of Quebec sorry to hear you’re being affected by it like this ):
