1/ Farcaster onchain signers - Signers are onchain which gives more control to developers - There is a cost associated with onchain - Most users are on mobile - Apple doesn't allow crypto in-app payments - Make it easy w/o crypto is best path for most people - It’s 100% possible to create signers outside of Warpcast

2/ - Warpcast was covering the cost for all onchain protocol actions until recently - 10/100/1000x quality DAU is the most important thing to focus on - Other clients and wallets are able to create flows similar to that use crypto on web, e.g. caststorage.com

> There is a cost associated with onchain Signers are like a decentralized and user-controlled version of OAuth tokens but onchain. App creates a keypair, user does a signature authorizing that signature to act on its behalf, result is stored onchain. Adds and deletes happen onchain.
