Didn’t realize what I was getting into when I decided to read Yukio Mishima’s Patriotism cover to cover before bed. Beautiful writing (in translation), and strangely appropriate at night.

I am Japanese. I like Ryunosuke Akutagawa's Spider's Thread. This work depicts the essence of human nature. I lost my badge on Tuesday and there are people who treat me the same as usual and people who don't even look at me anymore. This is just like in real society. I learned a lot from it.

I would also recommend "音楽" if you are looking for works by Yukio Mishima And then there's Natsume Soseki, "夢十夜" Both are beautifully written.

https://www.l.u-tokyo.ac.jp/postgraduate/database/2010/884.html I think you are a great cultural figure. For me, Yukio Mishima represents my youth... After reading some of Mishima's works, please try reading this text in English as well.
