It's the smell. 
Nothing can replicate the smell of books.

No screen or technology can compete with a real book. Books have what they now call a vibe. And that vibe is unbeatable. And to me, there's another thing to it. I pretty much feel that it is not that easy to distract me from a book than from a phone/e-reader, etc.
