I've been designing video games for the last 14 years, 3 years in web3 now. I never really wanted to build a 'web3' game where we just slap tokens and NFTs to an existing game genre. It's a popular approach since it's less risky, but that's not really exciting or moving the needle for the industry. Web3 tools enable us, designers, to craft something brand new. Every new web3 game should try to bring something new on the table - that's how we move forward. A web3 game should attract the web3 audience, in my opinion that's the base line to achieve. Designing a web3 game that doesn't even attract the web3 audience is currently not a viable option. The next challenge (the real challenge) is to make a game that attracts the web3 nice AND has potential for a wider reach.

Onboarding web2 players on web3 games en mass feels like the next logical step in web3 gaming. Hopefully we can help achieve that as a community with Persona :)
