no one asked but i dropped out bc my advisor said “you’d be an idiot to keep paying to go here when you have job offers to pay you real money”

i wanna follow up on this: i’m eternally grateful to this advisor bc if i didn’t listen to him i’d have a degree in math-econ and my dream job would be doing moneyball style analysis for nfl teams — a completely different life than i have now and i think my current life is better

Regrets are one of the worst emotions to deal with as you grow up. So yes, I guess you had a very lucky escape.
