Bend your knees Don’t go too fast and pump outwards to inward like a snake keeping skates on the ice pumping

Yeah this is excellent advice!! I actually got pretty good considering when I started today I couldn't move backwards at all unless I pushed off a wall By the end was able to skate backwards about 30 seconds at a time!
