experimented in this space at ETHDenver 23. we were doing European no hole card style.

mostly we were focused on building a lib to generate discrete random variates from dynamically weighted elements in sublinear time. but also got some learnings for onchain games.

FYI you do ofc need a source of entropy to make it work, but this is an interesting approach to model a dynamic deck of cards onchain.

This is really cool. I see chainlink for randomness -- was it slow to play when waiting for random values?
