Many years ago, while visiting NYC, a friend asked me what I wanted to eat. I immediately said, “Seafood & pizza!”—bc why not have both, right? After some extensive research, we finally landed on the pizza you see here. The first bite was so good, I couldn’t help but exclaim “Mmmm!” throughout the entire meal. It was one of those magical meals where every dish hit the spot
By the end, we demolished 4 entrées, a seafood pizza & topped it off with a giant tiramisu. Full and happy, we asked for the check, only to find out the couple next to us overheard us raving about the food & my birthday—and left after paying for our entire meal! I was extremely grateful but couldn’t even thank them bc they had already left. It felt so serendipitous & magical, like something out of a movie.
Years later, I returned to that same spot to celebrate my birthday with friends. It felt like everything had come full circle! To this day, there’s a seafood 🍕shaped place in my ♥️ —and there always will be! 3 replies
