Question of the day: how far can the analogy between a modern computer and a Blockchain can be pushed? One can argue that a blockchain currently has a single thread, smart contracts are programs and accounts are user management. What would be threads, processes, file systems,…?

Since a modern computer itself is a combination of a great many subsystems, I would assume that pushing the analogy to the blockchain world would require considering a cross-chain approach.

As such, something like ArWeave would seem fitting as a filesystem, which itself is a combination of a great many subsystems (both the computer filesystem and ArWeave in a practical setup)

Sequencers feel to me like a thread that will compute a new composite state from multiple upfront signals
