The next big "L1" opportunity isn't higher TPS or lower fees for smart contract devs.

It's making crypto rails accessible to a new, emerging set of builders: AI app / agent devs.

AI devs will build on crypto rails for two reasons:
1. Create product differentiation and lock-in by incentivizing users via tokens to contribute to improving model performance
2. Power increasingly autonomous (and eventually sovereign) agents who can capitalize themselves via internet capital markets, make payments, acquire compute, etc.

Yeah, I guess my broader point is that L1s require investment which requires a narrative.

I’m hoping L2s can eventually move beyond that to just build useful things from scratch with security bootstrapped - but we’re definitely not there yet.

Which is a long way to say I agree 😅
