Just to add another thing as Not-a-Lawyer:

A lot of compliance reqs are country-based (eg, if youre a US Co, you need to attempt not to serve citizens of Iran)

A Coinbase account signals even stronger compliance (KYC)

So Coinbase is basically sharing one of their competitive advantages for any dapp to compose on!

The first follower is important.

The first entity to legally rely on a third party attestation, and see that through some internal and external compliance challenges is just as important.

But even before then, it allows you to massively derisk a protocol.
