As the cost of producing code goes down (via gpt), I can only imagine that *more* of it will be open source. 

Working code that does the job to be done is a Need-to-have.
Open source is generally a nice-to-have.

But when costs go down, you get more of the nice-to-haves.

I think you would enjoy the talk I posted on my profile about the future of apps, it define how in a near future way more people are gonna be able to make apps (how barriers will be lower). Hopefully way more open source yes!
