it's a half joke half serious i find myself most at peace when i can walk outside and the only people that can contact me are the people right in front of me i plan on getting a flip phone and when i get it I'm selling my smartphone i have to find the right phone because most of them nowadays are bloated with kaiOS or android

Pretty sure they are calling them dumb phones these days. No joke. Still seems interesting you think you want to be disconnected to a degree, but still be able to accept crypto payments, listen to music, and take voice calls. Is it the internet signal or the GPS that you are most trying to avoid?

No not really, it's the compartmentalization between instances of devices that act as psychological breakpoints; for example, switching between a phone and ipod to listen to music will garner a different subconscious reaction than switching from warpcast to spotify. The goal I want to achieve is to be able to take things with me required for a function I want to achieve, but I don't like being forced to take every function of a phone with me if I actually don't need it for the thing I'm doing that particular day. The only thing I need my phone for is to call my mom. For the most part I don't use social media besides farcaster. Everything else can be operated by my laptop or my physical wallet.
