Exactly. I saw the writing on the wall with Musk years ago. Having read a lot of the history of fascism and of the oligarchic nature of the gilded age, I had long seen him on a track to become Rockefeller or maybe Ford. Either, if you know of their penchants for unfettered power, and their comfort with using violence as the means to attain it, would be bad.
Little did I realize he wanted to go further, to be installed as ruler bypassing the need for election, just like Hitler. Nor did I expect such explicit fascist rhetoric, symbolism, and actions.
All that to say, disavowing of praise for Musk years ago was advisable; doing so a year or more ago would have been a laudable “come-to-jesus” moment; but to praise him now… I don’t know, am I crazy to infer that this is tacit approval of neo-nazism? 0 reply
