Now that you need to send a real transaction to onboard to Farcaster, is there a good way to sponsor someone's onboarding costs? I'd like to be able to do that for the people I invite especially if they aren't too deep into crypto.

We're doing this with Warpcast invitations — if we give you an invite and you invite someone, the onboarding flow is sponsored by Warpcast. cc @v who can share how we do the paymaster Also the protocol allows you to pay for a storage slot for any FID.

The contract comprehensively supports erc721 meta-transactions. So Alice can submit a transaction on behalf of Bob (Alice pays gas), but the contract will behave as though Bob sent it. The answer to your question is yes! I might build a simple tool to do this.
