Farcaster

Now that you need to send a real transaction to onboard to Farcaster, is there a good way to sponsor someone's onboarding costs? I'd like to be able to do that for the people I invite especially if they aren't too deep into crypto.

Oh that's great. Once we go permissionless it would be awesome for users to be able to make sponsored invites.

We're doing this with Warpcast invitations — if we give you an invite and you invite someone, the onboarding flow is sponsored by Warpcast.

Also the protocol allows you to pay for a storage slot for any FID.

The contract comprehensively supports erc721 meta-transactions.

So Alice can submit a transaction on behalf of Bob (Alice pays gas), but the contract will behave as though Bob sent it.

The answer to your question is yes! I might build a simple tool to do this.
