i wasn’t familiar with the hot-start problem before, but it kind of validates our choice to avoid launching a token for /farville - especially since there's already active supply-side participation.

as this quote puts it:
“apps and marketplaces that launch token incentives for active jobs to be done – usage, gameplay, gig work, services, etc – must take extra steps to ensure that token rewards are going towards organic usage and driving important metrics like engagement and retention.”

in other words: tokens don’t always fix early-stage problems - and if misused, they can even make them worse.
