having more food giving you more points+villagers but not costing you anymore food to make it happen my thought was surplus food brought extra villagers so there was a sweet spot between not going too high on village levels and surplus food but it looks like it makes sense to make big jumps for optimal gains also - seems my ‘remember villagers slider’ issue is fixed!

Gotcha. Wondering what if I should change something there. Idea is that villagers aren't in your village yet so you don't have to feed them but you have to have a favorable village for them to want to move in. Could see how that could be confusing. trying to think how to improve it. Main thing though is the pop up shows you exactly what your result will be before you confirm.

yeah, it’s almost like there needs to be an additional thing that mentions ‘having extra supplies will make your village look favourable to outsiders’ text somewhere yeah the popup displays it indeed, i’d just never made the connection personally til i spoke to gambo about it and i’d like to think i work out games pretty quickly usually 🥲

immediate thought is maybe on the stoke fire popup? could also help with accidentally stoking fire when negative consequences to prevent accidental stoking at the start (but do understand this lowers skill diff also)

Right, at the same time I think there is some fun figuring things out and want it to be a fun journey. I think I could have another text cutscene that explains it.

thinking the ambiguity of my ‘extra supplies = extra benefits’ may help with light prompting but also maintain the figuring out aspect - trying not quite to spell it out but at the same time letting them know there’s a mechanic there to be explored
