i asked this on insta (which is asking for trouble) and will ask here: why is the oppressed/oppressor framework used so commonly these days and how is it helpful to advancing society? under this framework, what happens when the oppressed is no longer oppressed? it must become the oppressor; there is no other option.

People away from reality get stuck in these power games because they think ultimate truth lies in worldly/material obtainment. This dialectic supports this pursuit of delusion. True reality is realising that we are all both oppressed/oppressors simultaneously; the only path forward is forgiveness and inclusiveness.

yes, agree! everyone is oppressed/oppressor — particularly when you think of yourself as an individual and not as a group. group think, imo, gets in the way of self-actualization (if you subscribe to Nietzsche).
