An idea I think about sometimes:

The artist and the art are not the same and should be judged as such

Too often people conflate the two

art is a chapter while artist is the book 

think artist gives context to the art created, which is often a function of their creator journey (skills, desire/purpose, mental/emotional state) at a specific point in time

Yeah I think the relationship between art and artist is one between a coach and a player or a team of a sport, you can tell what the team to do from the coach’s perspective but the player is gonna execute on the field and that’s kind of out of control from the coach side
