Tao Te Ching, 1st summer of college...(on acid, does that count?). Solidified my life's purpose to help people. I became a nurse 4 or 5 years later

interesting, i did also read it in college and someone else in this thread @olystuart recommended a specific translation of it (ursula le guin) so looks like a sign to definitely check that one out 🤝

Haven't read or heard of that translation. I bought one translated by Gia Fu Feng and Jane English. I lent it to a friend who claimed it and I loved it so much I bought it again.
