Sometimes when American dudes find out I'm Australian, they'll immediately bring up Australia's gun ban... which is always a not fun convo to have when you're meeting people.  

One dude told me assault rifles aren't a problem because he could kill everyone in the room with a hammer (arrogant) and ever since then I wish I had challenged him on the spot to paintball where I'm fully kitted out and he's got a stick with paint on it.

Japanese people are only familiar with guns from the world of TV and movies, and even if someone were to take a gun out in the street with impunity, many would think it was a toy. They would be wary, but...😅
