Recently redid our backyard to add turf, a cowboy pool, and this deck. 

Any ideas for how to decorate or enhance it from here?

thoughts on turf maintenance vs grass?

I got grass, been trying to get wifey to agree to change it to turf. Haven’t been successful so far.

Taking the kids to spots with turf completely changed my mind on it, it's fantastic for not having to worry about bugs, mud, allergies, etc. And becaues of the shade + texas heat grass just wouldn't grow back here so it was an easy decision
