Man if I knew that I was never going to use my degree, I would have done something fun like philosophy&physics or even just anthropology. All that hard work and money for nothing.

Same. Physics and philosophy both seem great.

I majored in philosophy and it definitely made me a better writer. That being said, I only did it because I knew how to code. Otherwise it would have been a much higher risk decision 

Anecdotally, 1/3rd of my philosophy cohort went into law or PhDs, another 1/3rd went into tech, and the last 1/3rd is in nonprofits

Philosophy degree here too, and I also picked it because I knew I’d get job qualified some other way. No idea what the other grads are doing, but very glad I went that route.
