Deadmau5 One day, a young electronic musician named Joel Thomas Zimmerman was changing the graphics card in his computer and discovered a dead mouse inside. After reporting it in a chat room, he became known as “that guy with the dead mouse.” He shortened the nickname to dead Mouse, then deadmau5. Over time, the DJ began wearing a mask in the shape of a mouse’s head. “I think when I take the ‘head’ off, I become more authentic,” Joel says.🎭
