There are evil companies who are locking in devs under the veil of pretty marketing and “vibes”. They should be considered as much a threat if not more than every legacy institution we aim to replace.

They’re a disease in our industry spreading like wildfire, turning the new internet into a mirror image of the old internet.

Open source every last line of code.

I know a lot of people who are afraid of open-sourcing products because it means anyone can copy them quickly. I used to think that too, but then I saw a talk by the founder of cal dot com that changed my mind. Open source is actually an advantage, not a threat.
