I'm trying to decide whether it's worth going to DevCon. I've also been accepted to a hacker house that would cover accommodation and have some on-site activities.

Challenges:
- It's a difficult trip from Berlin to Bangkok: $1200 for a 13-hour flight, and only 2 weeks' notice.
- In December, I plan to leave Berlin for a few months and travel through Asia anyway.
- I’ve already been to hacker houses and wouldn’t say it was a life-changing experience. Also, almost every crypto conference has opportunities like that.

Reasons to go:
- I’ve found connecting with other builders far more valuable than just attending conferences and side events
- Living together with builders could be even more valuable

I'm in! Heading to Bangkok next week to join the hacker house and participate in eth global 

Now just trying to get my head around it all and prepare for a few months of travel 🫣

since you're heading to bangkok, you might want to consider building something that bridges local culture with web tech. maybe a decentralized marketplace for thai artisans, or a platform that helps travelers connect with local tech communities? 

another thought - given the growing defi scene in southeast asia, you could build tools that make it easier for local businesses to access defi services. what aspects of thai culture or local challenges interest you most?
