- if it goes down, so does everything you depend on it for
- if it gets hacked (anything that harbours a lot of data on people eventually will be) you've compromised yourself
- if you trust it with everything, you're entrusting a company to put your interests above theirs

it’s insane how the smartphone was a double-edged sword that has now gone way too far now in the negative edge of the sword 

i don’t think Jobs predicted this outcome—but it wouldn’t be his fault entirely anyway—the sinister social apparatus barons are most at fault imo
