a long, interesting read on surveillance capitalistic clearnet vs masked, fomo-laden dark forests in (social) internet. this is a long read, i have too many thoughts for one post. i'll slowly add them. much focus on -cellectuals, which are not my dark forest, as i never even heard of them. wish there was any sort of focus on SEO, which really dictates search and ability to navigate actual internet (in my mind). would be interested in others thoughts here! https://networkcultures.org/blog/publication/internets-dark-forests-subcultural-memories-and-vernaculars-of-a-layered-imaginary/
