Inside a rainforest. Where it’s deep and dark and you can hear life all around you but see almost none of it. The air is thick with humidity and barely any light makes it to the floor even in the peak of day because there are layers and layers of canopy over your head.

Have you ever been in the deep ocean? That feeling you get that you are profoundly small and powerless and out of your element. Inside a rainforest is the only time I’ve felt that on land. It’s intense but wildly beautiful.
