If general-purpose humanoid robots become available at ~$20-30k, then every household in America will have at least one. The credit payments on that robot will be immediately worth it, even to lower income families because it frees up so much time — it's your housekeeper, chef, nanny, doctor, dog walker, all in one.

doesn't free up much time where people don't have houses and children - these are housing and child tax basically

True, although it may still offer companionship and other services. E.g. it could be your doctor, your therapist, your personal trainer, etc.
