I wonder if the state of language recapitulates the history of cultural evolution. Maybe it is why ML is possible. Language itself is a trained model of reality so LLMs are a distillation of that learning 🤔

visual datasets etc. represent less of a phylogeny i guess because there's less history in it. may be an invitation for automatic feeds of physical dataset entries
