I think you can START a venture scale business on Farcaster today, but not build one entirely unless something in the next 24 months goes really really right. The challenge with Farcaster is that while it's incredible for getting your first 100 (or even 1000 users depending on the product category), it doesn't have...

we have to start asking ourselves why do people show up to farcaster? is everyone here a startup founder trying to make money, do people only buy products to test it out or to earn more tips. when you have a social network of builders what do you sell? infra? we need some user metrics or polling.

think air conditioning system: there is some heat load and a cycle of media that bears it. if a stable billion users calls for a load of: 80% read mode (tired from work) 16% log mode (just recording stuff) 3% fork mode (one-offs) 1% founders (spinning narratives). how do we grow our current cycle into this stability?

imo the 1% is the hardest part to sustain so focusing mostly on it does make sense to me for the most part

what media carry the founder load? can they be generated in the fc system? can they flow into other systems?

action produces information. so you build something and the information is casted. the cast is read by other founders. does interacting with the cast reduce the effort for founders on fc to build? does it reduce effort for founders from other places to build (wherever)? https://warpcast.com/df/0x91a8ba2b

Founder includes many occupations not just software devs. For example influencers are founders because they spin narratives, and in this case the “other places” question is mostly unfulfilled.

imo just like we've seen with crypto founders migrating here, once there is an audience we'll see more trad creator/founders migrate in. it'll start with the weirdo's like us tho. and that's okay
