Not sure how the rich profile that shows cast embeds would look but most important feature for me would be highlighting certain announcements on my profile e.g. I would pin this cast to my profile

think the difference is more formatting opportunity like when u make a cast you get to use texts, images, links, and cast embeds together. otherwise both pinned casts and rich profile can be used to achieve the important feature.
