my biggest social anxiety unlock was to have an exit strategy always. i only want to be places for as long as i’m enjoying myself and i’m enjoyable to be around. when i’m prepared to leave whenever i want, i’m here because i want to be here and the conversations i have are the ones i care to have. i’m present instead of secretly plotting to get out. i end up finding myself wanting to stay a lot more💕

i’ve managed to convince myself that in some situations Irish'ing is more polite lol i don't like to fuck up the vibe being a buzzkill telling everyone i’m leaving when they’re still having a great time. or just inadvertently causing people to consider their own departure
