I recently had a discussion with the CEO of a headphone company who wants to do some kind of web3 rewards program. I'm wondering if people here have any thoughts about companies introducing web3 features that probably aren't completely necessary?

This would serve well as a marketing press release and nothing else. Like when car cos issued NFTs with their cars.
