Designers: do you sell your assets through any online marketplaces?

Fun fact: “arrows” are the most downloaded icon type on The Noun Project.

Five years ago, when I first learned this fact, I created 200+ hand drawn arrow icons and several UX wireframe icon kits on Noun Project.

To this day, I continue to get $15-30 a month and have done so since I started. Nothing spectacular but not bad residuals for a couple hours of work.

For what I described — zero promotion. 

I talk about them maybe once a year (like I did here). That’s it.

Nice tip! How actively should anyone promote their assets to get this income? I guess if depends on your network, right?
