It’s crazy how growing up in the Midwest I always believed making $100k a year salary was “success.” It’s so not true anymore due to cost of living anymore. Maybe it’s middle class at best.

I think about this often. Feels like older generations still think that’s a lot of money. It’s not nearly what it used to be. You can make $150k as a general manager at a Buccees truck stop in Texas. Times have changed.
