I'd say this is only likely if onboarding via credit card becomes the norm. Otherwise not a chance. Bridging is not a thing anyone wants to do

I often think about how NBA Top Shot onboarded so many folks by doing exactly that

Agree wholesale. TYB.xyz onboarded completely non-crypto users with Magic (I think) via credit cards. I assume tools like Decent checkout will make this more likely.
